Notes about "When This Is Over"

Written from April 11 and onwards, 2020

So when you have a new bit that you're fitting to a song you're working on and you're pretty ok with it and play it like a dozen times and record a half dozen of them and then watch them all two or three times each to pick the one with the fewest mistakes and the most important parts perhaps done reasonably well and then slice the audio off and produce it a bit and put it on the lyrics page on the website and you're playing it back a couple of times before the plan of sharing the video with your friends and strangers and stranger friends and linking to the lyrics so they can follow along and you realize that there is one pick stroke missing that would glue it together better and then when you give that a try you find that that skipping a beat elsewhere makes it completely fit in like you knew you wanted six hours ago even if you might never be able to play it cleanly now because now it might be too hard on a technical level do you still post the video?

Of course not. You play the whole thing the new way with the red light flashing and do the post work on *that* version and upload it. While realizing that the second, unrecorded, run-through you did immediately after was better in several ways.

(Quite a few notes and commentaries to add here.)
