Wouldn't You?

Wouldn't you love to love to love,
Wouldn't you love to love?

When Mary was but a little girl
Her world showed her make-believe
Now that she is all grown up
She wants to make it real

When Johnny was a growing lad
Our schooling included no love
Tough and strong, he never cried
It's you he's thinking of

We were ten years younger then
Playing some unwritten parts
Blank lines life has handed us
And others shaped our hearts

Wouldn't you love to love to love,
Wouldn't you love to love?

Happiness, happiness
Loneliness, forgetfulness

The years make too much difference
The miles take too much time
The youth we once misplaced us
What a waste society's crime

Wouldn't you love to love to love,
Wouldn't you love to love?

Well Jackie was always the odd one out
When all these flowers were picked
Borders were straight and narrow then
We wondered why we didn't fit

And all the
Children should grow as themselves
Find their own paths in life
We can all grow closer, then
Encourage each others' light

Wouldn't you love to love to love,
Wouldn't you love to love?
