When She's Gone

When she's gone
I wonder where she goes
Is she hiding
I wonder where she goes?

I got so used to her being here
(the shape of her eyes, the color of her hair)
The way that she walks and settles in a chair

But when things change, she gets quite upset
This empty ache, is it something to regret?
If she goes away, was it something that I said?

When she's gone
I wonder where she goes
Is she hiding
I wonder where she goes?

When I wake up she is usually close by
Warm and waiting, though she might be first to rise
Stretched out lingering and fix me in her eye

(Refrain)

When we lie down she gets so warm and near
I can't remember when I ever felt so dear
She makes me forget my every deepest fear

(Refrain)

When she comes back
She seems so glad to see me
Isabella
She seems to glad to see me
