The Silence Explodes

Ai-ee-yeah, ai-ee-ooh, ai-ee-oh

For some of us it's all about family
The cycles of life and its stories
Family, children who will always love them
In all their flawed human glory

For others it's catching a ride on time
On the train by the door in the snow
Giving up their seat when it's already warm
To someone they don't even know

There are some and there are others
And yet some others still
And if no one harms another
There's always some time for these thrills

For some it's a bench in the park
Where they can watch over a tree
Throughout the seasons as they unfold
It's as easy as one, two, three
Or feeding the pigeons for free

For others it's the end of a project
They've been working on this for a year
With a team of leaders all trying their best
To work for each other right here

(chorus)

For some life is playing their music
Did I mention we're still in the park?
And others are playing all of the games
Taking dogs but not cats for a walk

And for others it's the lights of the city
Glowing over restaurants and bars
Nightclubs with dancing out loud in the dark
Kissing strangers in the backs of their cars

(chorus)

For some it's a starfish, a heart shaped of rock
Or a drifted branch that washed up
For others it's the echo, faint of a song
In an alley where lovers once touched

And for some it is seeing these stories unfold
And the wonder of being there alone
And all at once the silence explodes

To be there we're sharing it all

Ai-ee-yeah, ai-ee-ooh, ai-ee-oh
