The kids will never believe all our stories
When we try to explain how it used to be
They'll laugh at us and our history

A way to get home before that guy in his truck

And the music was different, it was always the best
We would change everything but give it a rest
And kids today are so compressed
Without Autotune they can't get undressed

It wasn't much different in color or form
The title was the same but the pages were torn
If you remember, if you recall
The kids today weren't even born

None of this needed for graduation
That's always been the incantation
And it seems like every single generation
Has claimed to be the first in the nation

But now much more than biology
The physics has changed, and the chemistry
So it's not just neurology
It's a whole new wave of topology
