I was born with an old soul
I wore it out and now
I've got this new one to
Iron out the wrinkles

It's not permanent press
None of them really are
At least with natural fibres
You can put the heat on high

I'm going to explore and polish
It up a bit in private
But eventually, wrinkles and all
It has to play well with others

So I'll take it off the hanger
Not so neatly pressed

To work with a little less
