Trees budding and leaves unfurling,
Vines sending shoots towards the light -
Everywhere Spring is softening the lines
Of the ground and stones around us.
The field is gorgeous,
A thousand dandelions by day,
Which quietly close at dusk
Leaving an expanse of velvet green.
The air is clean and the sun is bright,
Gentle clouds pose to be named as animals.
Gardeners take glee in the perfect weather
For planting, for the future.
This is somewhat of a sequel to March Snow and Cold April.
