Dislodged

I've been dislodged - I'm dislodged

I used to have a home like this, but its walls were ripped away
I'm convinced I can't live like this - until no one hears me say

I've been dislodged - I'm dislodged

I used to know just where I lived, even how I ought behave
I can't tell was I expelled, by streets more patched than paved

I've been dislodged - I'm dislodged

I used to ride my bike round here, there are fossils I have found
I used to live somewhere quite near, it's all gone, perhaps torn down

I've been dislodged - I'm dislodged

I used to walk for miles a day, even far across these hills
A home should never walk away - but it feels like this one will

I've been dislodged - I'm dislodged
- (instrumental) -
I've been dislodged - I'm dislodged

I used to know my way back home - I had a number and a key
We used to go there in our dreams - now nothing's there for me

We've been dislodged - we're dislodged

I used to have a home of ribs, but my heart has beat insane
And I feel I could die like this - until silence calls my name

I've been dislodged - I'm dislodged
I've been dislodged - I'm dislodged

I'm dislodged
