It's hard to believe
There was a time in my life
When I did not know
You exist

How could it have been
That I breathed without you
That food could sustain
Before this?

I know life was real
Of course don't be silly
Like the journey to Oz
A tornado that took me

Back down to Earth
You're just a woman
Another human being
Plumbed direct to my soul

It's not that big a deal
Like most rhythm or rhyme
We all meet one or two -
Maybe you - in our time

The hardest part really
For birds is to wing it
Most everything's wrong
