Science at All

From the telling rays of Mr. Roentgen
To the gases of gay Nobel
All of Science owes us debts
We don't repay them well

(You claim it does not sell!)

You don't know science
You don't know science at all

Madame Curie's decadent atoms
Wash the hands of Semmelweiss
We explore the universe by surrogate
And claim its fruits for eyes

(You call its victories lies!)

(chorus, instrumental break)

From the woman who invented the axle
To the boys who brought back fire
We have to walk the right direction
Before Copernicus' funeral pyre

(Again you call it a liar!)

(chorus)

(repeat verse 1)

(chorus)
