Our Shores

Feeding the world with wars
That never invade our shores

Our rockets are gleaming and sell by the dozen
With "advisors" to teach how to fly them
They come with instructions in seven or eight tongues
And we'll lend out the money to buy them

(refrain)

Profiting from cities we turned into rubble
Helping rebuild every roadside and bridge
We sent our young men without too much trouble
Now old men play both sides, richer than rich

(refrain)

We'll build you graveyards, rows white upon white
And jails you can put those you call spies in
You can lay out your dead for the future in sight
All our golf courses, all your horizons

(refrain)
