Love is lazy, gentlemen

We go to thrift stores all the time
And scavenging at the dump
Bulky trash day is heaven to us
But mostly we like to hump

We make our things if they're too expensive
Or we can't find them off the shelf
We can always cobble together something
Happy to invent it ourselves

When the dollar store went buck 'n' a quarter
We couldn't believe the sign on the door
To take such a hallowed institution
And charge us five for four

But when it comes to signs of love
When it comes to that special touch
We never stint or hold it back
We love each other too much
