Remind Me

All the little things remind me of you
Like breathing, or walking, whatever I do
You only come to mind when I unguard my time
But how could I guard myself from you?

A leaf on a tree will remind me of you
The seasons, light changing, dawn or dusk too
You only come to mind when I shut my eyes
But how could I close my eyes to you?

Reading a poem would remind me of you
Something of a childhood, a flower or zoo
Even Dr. Suess has written our memories
None of it's nonsense when I think of you

All the little things remind me of you
Like singing, or writing, or just being Huw
It's not like I couldn't somehow shut you out
But why would I ever build a wall just for you?

You only come to mind when I unguard my time
But how could I guard myself from you?
