Into a political platform
Then proceeded to tear life and limb
From everyone ever born

A cold and sunless new morn

He learned the crudest basics of acting
How to talk through a lens to his fold
Combining that with a talent for grammar
That would fail any teenage-year old

He brought spite and resentment
To a fever pitch
And ran national policies with the intent
To sell them to the rich

He thought every deal was rigged -
Because all that profit him were
He treated every winner as a cheater
That's the way he saw the world

And sitting atop the aggrandized power
Of a Republic not meant for a king
He angrily ruled by fiat and glower
While destroying all that surrounds him

He turned ragged raw racism
Into a national campaign
Then proceeded to tear life and limb
From everyone sick or sane

Never do this again
