We Have Won

Bodies lying broken on the field,
We have won the battle, and we will win the war

        Bloody insults have been avenged,
We have won the battle, for they forced us into war

        Another evil people overcome,
We have won the battle, side by side with god in war

        Staring at the ruined farms,
We have won the battle, it's always worth winning the war

Hard-earned wealth is spent on guns,
We have won the battle, for our future we'll win the war

        Killers' mothers wearing ribbons,
We have won the battle, dead and dying heroes won the war

And our young are scarred and sacrificed,
We have won the battle, but no one really wins a war.
