revolution

whether led from within or without
whether for supposed nobler causes of equality, freedom, and dignity
or for the scheming purposes of a nefarious few
seeking to fuel their lust for power
with the efforts of a soon to be enslaved population

it must come at least every other generation
in an industrial civilisation
it must come or the people will start working for the machines
instead of living the life machines should free them to live

revolution

is the only answer to the question "why"

and yet no worthwhile civilisation should require its revolutions

to be bloody and violent
