Oppression

I am not of a generation
I am not of a denomination
I am not of one lone nation
And I am not an aberration

I am not a brother in arms
I am sworn to do no harm
I can't follow these hollow alarms
Not one to panic or lose my calm

I am not just a demographic
I am not one for grave theatrics
I never claimed to be less than cryptic
I can't answer for these loose erratics

I am not bound by hide to a curve
I never lived my life in reserve
Washing this white would shatter my nerves
It always seemed safer to duck - and observe

I am not of a denomination
I was not born to a generation
I only seek to thwart oppression
I call home not one of these nations
