Welcome to the current chaos
reigning in my mind.
It's a battlefield and it's just me
fighting on both sides
I hope you find this balance you seek,
and if it looks more like a see-saw,
that's still cool, because anyway
those take two to operate as well.
My historical habit is to simply melt
seamlessly into the other person's life.
I want to preserve all my hard won
independence.
I am constantly fighting my conditioning,
trying to grow a spine.
