In Over Our Ears

Taking each other's eyes off the floor
We can't seem to shake the grip
Of the glow we're feeling across this room
Of the fire that burns at our lips

Talking each other's heads off
Because we're both excited to hear
The sounds that each other's ecstasies
Might nibble inside our ears

Hours for now in tension
A daze 'til we get release
Months of this oral tradition
And years to savor this feast

This waking each other's clothes off now
We're both excited to dare
A dance we've been waiting a lifetime
For the butter and jam that we share

A moment to savor as long as we live
To enjoy for as long as we dance -
A night never-ending, a day oiled in bliss
A lifetime if we take this chance

(repeat)

We're talking each other's clothes loose
And we're both too excited to pause
At every tingle and moment of finding
My fingers drawn across yours

We're finishing each other's moanings now
Because we both know each other so well
Flipping each other's minds upside down -
Pull these ropes, let's ring these bells

(brief musical interlude)

We're licking each other's heads off
'Cause we're both so excited to hear
The sound of ice cream letting go
Your rockets soaking my ears
