As I make these artistic choices
"Momentous decisions" I mutter
I'm filtering for my tasteful favorites
To the exclusion of all others

While picking out the words that rhyme
Syllables - do not stutter
I'll say all the things I want them to mean
To the exclusion of all others

And with this mallet, chisel to marble
Reducing its crudeness to feathers
Achieving my vision with every fold
To the exclusion of all others

It might be a tint or negative
That I call home in colours
Shades of my feelings, cured on canvas
To the exclusion of all others

A cascade, a flurry, note by note
Play a melody uncluttered
Match my chords and my rhythm wrote
To the exclusion of all others

And when it comes to spend my time
With the best to share these covers
You know I'm sure, I'm convinced it's you
To the exclusion of all others
