If I Lean Towards You, I Will Change Direction

If I lean towards you, I will change direction
And you liked me you said - with that steadfast intention
If I glance aside my course will swerve away to follow
Losing sight of our convergence, and what we learned tomorrow

If I lean towards you, you won't see my aim
Towards that spot we picked without - without ever saying
If I shift my stride my pace will falter too
And you know you never wanted that for me or neither you

If I lean towards you, the dark and light will flicker
They will alter purpose, and lose their beacons' ticker
If I let the slightest hint, how much you mean to me
Escape into the world today, it will change reality

If I lean towards you, I will change direction
And you liked me -
You said you liked me sporting this bold intention

If I lean towards you, I will change direction
